More and more we are seeing cities demanding quality outdoor lighting that incorporates full cut-off luminaires which are dark sky friendly and exhibit minimal light shed from the property itself. Blaze Properties townhouses at 233 Lawrence Avenue in Kitchener demonstrate a residential application that has a narrow site, neighbours in close proximity and a sensitive budget. By using 9 Silhouettes by Keene for area lighting this allowed for pedestrian and vehicular safety while keeping the budget in tact. The 3 GeoScape wall packs also by Keene offered a little architectural detail and performed in the areas where area lights could not address the smaller parking areas. Both these fixtures are Night-Friendly and
have full cut-off meeting the strict outdoor Lighting parameters that are enforced by the City of Kitchener. Both the GeoScape and the Silhouette fixtures are easy for the contractor to install and are visually pleasing to the residents, building owners and neighbours passing by.
